Our North Carolina Story
Baker Roofing Company was founded in Raleigh in 1915, when William Prentiss Baker opened his first shop on Gale Street, four blocks from the Capitol. His motto — "We shall do good work, at a profit if we can, at a loss if we must, but always good work" — still hangs in our headquarters today. Over 110 years later, Baker has grown into one of the nation's most experienced commercial roofing contractors with 29 locations across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. Now headquartered in Cary, NC, we continue to serve the community that built us.
